been in australia for a bit over a week with jay-j now, promoting the ILLUMINATE release (on central station down under) as well as jay-j’s about-to-be-released “Re:Souled”.

in between interviews with MTV-australia (thanks jason), and countless radio interviews, jay-j & i made a quick stop over to the fair isle of new zealand where we played auckland’s spy bar on saturday night. amazing scene there, great energy, and an incredible warmth. this was my first visit back since 2004, and it’s been too long. thanks for having me, auckland – let’s do it again soon. special shouts out to sam for taking care of me.

parklife was sunday back in sydney – thank you, sydney. 5,000 screaming fans in our tent can’t be wrong. we went on about 3:30pm, and i was amazed at the number of bodies that crammed in to see us. what a party!! pics & hopefully video to come soon.

hey all.. just touching base after a busy summer. the show last weekend in costa mesa with jay-j was off the hook! thanks to all in the OC for making it such a special night & showing us so much love.

this weekend: friday night, my quartet breaks in san francisco’s retox lounge, providing chill crazy live grooves until late into the night. stop by, we promise to blow your mind. saturday night, if you are in the east bay, stop by the ivy room for some chocolate o’brian deliciousness.

Tribeca Film Festival & Delta Airlines ILLUMINATED

“Illuminate,” the single from Latrice’s debut album on Ultra, has been selected as the soundtrack for the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival Promo DVD. The song has also been included as part of the in-flight content on all domestic and international Delta Airlines flights. Be sure to listen for it!!

WOW – just arrived back in town from Tokyo, and I am completely in awe. KSR Records in Tokyo really did a great job with the OM Party on Sunday night. A more-than-sold-out audience witnessed DJs J-Boogie, Collette, and Kaskade, as well as my live performance, and this had to be one of the most excited audiences I’ve seen anywhere in the world.

First of all, a huge thank you to KSR for taking care of the artists, from the amazing press opportunities, to meals and transportation – the hospitality shown to us was tremendous. Thank you for making it easy for us to do our jobs. Second of all, thanks to J-Boogie, Collette, Kaskade, & Romero – so nice to be able to travel, work, and collaborate with such awesome artists and individuals.

Finally though, a HUGE THANK YOU (本当にありがとう!!!) to all of the fans in Japan, for making my single “Illuminate” #23 (!!!) on the pop music charts in Japan!!!! I am so honored and grateful for the support and love that has been shown to me by all of my fans, and I can’t tell you how amazing it is to look out into an audience, who most likely does not easily share a language with me, and see ALL of you mouthing the words to my songs. Thank you for taking the time to learn my music, and for creating the opportunity for me to visit Tokyo again. Let’s do it again!!!

WMC/M3 2006!!

Miami is cool this year… but the scene is as hot as ever. I arrived in South Beach on Wednesday and went straight over to Tantra to catch Jay-J’s set at Tantra. Amazing.

Thursday was crazy, filled with shows and rain. I performed at the Defected party at Nikki Beach, and like last year’s ill-fated Defected party, the skies parted midday. The downpour didn’t cease until late into the evening. The crowd pushed indoors, and were manic as I performed “Bless This House,” “Love Is” (Jay-J’s new remix), “Make My Heart,” and the Paddington remix of “Keep On Rising.” I am still shocked to see so many people singing along…

Late night Thursday I played with Jay-J at Crobar, for a chic night put together by Chicago promoters. Again a great response from everyone – tremendous.

Friday was mellow by comparison; Jay-J and I did an in-store performance at Spec’s Music Store, where I was able to actually meet some fans in person & talk with them. I’m glad all of the fans I’ve met so far have been so sweet… Thank you so much.

It’s now Saturday and I’ve got two more performances with Jay-J before my stay down here is up… but so far it’s been fabulous.
